Standardized Patient Program
Formalized in 1971 under the guidance of the late Dr. Howard Barrows, McMaster University's Standardized Patient Program (SPP) supports all healthcare programs within the university, as well as external groups, agencies and other schools across Ontario. The SPP also has expertise in delivering clinical examinations, such as objective structured clinical examination (OSCEs) and certification/licensure exams. The SPP is a subdivision of the Centre for Simulation-Based Learning (CSBL), within Education Services.
