Theatre-Based Simulation

The Centre for Simulation-Based Learning (CSBL) has three high-fidelity theatre-based simulation rooms that can support both in-person and virtual/distance simulation

The three theaters can be configured into a variety of simulated patient care environments, including ambulatory clinics, inpatient rooms, acute care resuscitation spaces and operating rooms. These simulation rooms are also equipped with embedded audio and video recording devices to enable video-assisted assessment/debriefing. Safe and dedicated debriefing space along with video review technology is provided in the form of two debriefing rooms, which are separated from simulated rooms. There is also an inventory of full-body patient simulators ranging from newborn to adult size, to be utilized for specific simulation scenarios.
